- Touristic area, known for the famous Chatêaux de Pau, and for the pleasant weather, in South of France
Pau is a city born around its wall, strategically located 50 km from the border with Spain. With great importance and historical and architectural heritage, Pau is today a charming tourist destination.
In 1933 the route is modified and the title titled Grand Prix de Pau. This is one of only five circuits around the world that since 1933 use the same stroke. Along the 2,760 mt of perimeter, the action unfolds well in the center of the city, between narrow streets, stone walls and gardens, with the Pyrenees as background, creating a breathtaking environment.
The circuit, also known as "Little Monaco", hosts an annual classic car festival where a very limited number of competitions are admitted, including the Iberian Historic Endurance. In the first participation in the Pau Historic Grand Prix, this competition was the surprise of the event and one of the most acclaimed by the public and the critics, renewing automatically the invitation for the remaining years, now in "Prime Time" in the program.
